Looking for an affiliate to start....

I am a web developer and have a few sites all of them are programed in ASP but I'm a nuwbie to RX. I recently purchase a RX domain name and would like to build a site for it. I have been searching this site totrying to find out how some of the affiliate programs workbut have notfound what I need. All the affiliates I visitonly say how great the affiliate program butthey don't explainexactlyhow the back-end works.Do any use XML?

I guess what I'm looking for is a programmer's point of view, not a marketing point of view. What RX Affiliatewouldyou recommend that has the most versatility for the web developer?

or if some can list the affiliates and the basis of how the salesconnects to their back-end.

Any help would be appreciated

Most systems have a variety of methods for you to link to their back end. JavaScript Includes, XML feeds etc.

In almost all cases it results in a link on your site that points to the OP with a product ID and your affiliate code. The link usually leads to a shoping cart or direct order page maintained by the OP.

Many also provide templates with sample code to get you started. Your best bet is probaby to contact the Affiliate Directors of the programs you are interested in to see which meets your needs.

Hope this helps get you started,
