Does Overture power every $#@$$%^% friggin search engine except for Google? I doubt if I signed up for Site Match, that they would accept the listing right?(Of course they would take my $49.00 to "review". Are MSN results and Yahoo both powered by Overture Site match now?
Signed,
Frustrated!

My take on this is that MSN will be dumping Inktomi results when it lauches butterflysearch. In preparation, Overture/Yahoo realizes that ink results will be worthless so they are replacing them with paid inclusions via Site Match. At least that is how I see it.
Has anybody investee $49 to see if they get listed?

Nevermind, answered my own question after I read the fine print:
Pages Overture Site Match Does not Want Included in Its Index:
Content that is illegal or fraudulent, or sites with content, products or services deemed to be of questionable legality or that are otherwise objectionable, including:
<UL>
<LI>Sites that advocate, depict, glorify or promote the following: bestiality; cannibalism; incest; necrophilia; pedophilia; prostitution; rape; torture; hate (sites that contain content threatening harm)
<LI>Sites that sell or give away the following: automatic or military-style assault weapons; falsely-obtained passwords; fake ids; warez; prostitution services; illegal drugs; prescription drugs without prescriptions; Cuban cigars </LI>[/list]

well, I guess the good news in the fine print is: If you rank highly on AV or Yahoo already for prescription type keywords, you'll not have competition from Overture Site Match. (In theory of course)

There's a great relationship chart at bruceclay's site. Not sure I can post the URL but it's easy enough to find. It shows who Overture affiliates with and the rest.smileys/smiley2.gif
