View Full Version : Updating your sites
redex

In researching many affiliate sites this morning, I noticed alot of wording that could lead to problems in the future . . . Some I am guilty of myself. Part of what theDEA warned about was misleading a patient with false statements . With the recent events and medications being discontinued, on top of the server change at EVA, we are all pretty involved in site edits so now is as good a time as any to clean up the works.I am paying close attention to statements I have on my sites and trying to ensure there are no false claims. Many template sites providedby the OPs represent us as being the the pharmacy. I found the following on many of my template sites from OPs
"Our US Physician will ....."
I don't have a physician so I am rewording it to say:
"A US Physician will ...."
I also found
"Our pharmacy..."
"We will write...
"We will fill..."
"We will ship..."
Yada yada yada.
All of these are false claims, Obviously WE do not have or do any of those things. While in the middle of this mass edit anyways, I am taking the time to review all the wording and presenting myself as a marketing firm rather than a pharmacy. I am not a pharmacy, I am an advertising agency paid on performance.
FWIW (like I didn;t have enogh to edit already) smileys/smiley19.gif
Back to editing!

You may remember I was looking for some sort of disclaimer wording for my sites....
FWIW, Here's what I came up with
We provide a comfortable and confidential means of secure prescription requests to obtain FDA approved prescriptions discreetly from the privacy of your home.
Read Privacy Practises here
We offer access to a complimentary medical consultation with a licensed U.S. physician. Customers will complete and submit a medical questionnaire, which is thoroughly reviewed, by a U.S. licensed physician. If, in the physician's professional opinion, you are found suitable for treatment, your requested prescription will be issued and mailed to you by a U.S. affiliated pharmacy. If you do not qualify for the treatment that you are seeking, any advice you receive will be rendered free of charge.
Important
Always inform all of your physicians and pharmacists of all your current medications and any known drug allergies.
It is not our position that the Internet could ever replace the importance of seeing your doctor regularly, in person. It is important that you seriously consider a full physical exam specifically to evaluate possible causes for your problem. The issuance of medication does not replace the need for a physical exam.

Check out e-Scripts "Affiliate WebSite Templates" when you login to the affiliate area. They offer pages already worded foraffiliate sites. Open us the .asp pages and copy and paste. Similar to what anni posted but they probably had their lawyers draft it up.

Redex,
I'm starting to be very thankful for Dreamweaver's "Find and Replace" feature. This is a lot of updating so, like you, may as well go in and change up the little phrases and put the disclaimers up.
Thanks for the post and thank you Anni for a sample Disclaimer.
