After a couple weeks of user feedback, I've uploaded a new version of
the template.zip file with some improvements and bug fixes.

Changes include:

1. Added unique keywords functionality. There is now a sub-directory
called keywords in the main directory that will hold a file for each
product. We're leaving it up to each affiliate to create these files
and load them with keywords. A couple of sample files are already
there. If no file exists, the default keywords as specified in
config.php will be used.

2. Added some more specials graphics.

3. Rewrote the xml parser to improve page rendering time. Now it's lightning fast compared to the first version.

4. Moved category dropdown and search box up above the left menu graphic so it shows up above the fold on an 800x600 display.

5. Added an improved "hsninclude.alt.php" in the includes directory. If
your ISP is running the server in "safe_mode", this file can sometimes
get around that limitation. If you're seeing no categories and no
product prices, try renaming this file to hsninclude.php, close your
browser out completely, and try again.

6. Several minor bug fixes.

7. And last but not by any means least, log into the Affiliate control
panel at www.mpllc.net and click on "Store Branding", then on "Template
Branding" for options that will allow you to carry your template look
forward to the login, order, and order status pages without having to
mess around wih any html or graphics uploading.

PLEASE let me know ASAP if you have any problems or questions.

Oh! I meant to remind any of you who decide to upgrade:

Keep a copy of your config.php file so that you don't have to recreate it!</span></span></span>

The one big change in that file was that I had the meta-description and
meta-keywords tags reversed, so if you want to you can just go in and
flip the two around instead of replacing the file.

Today I added Campaign Tracking abilities to the PHP template. As long
as your customers come to you with a CID, it will be carried through to
the order form.

Example:

http://templates.mpllc.net/index.php?cid=rxaffiliateforum (http://templates.mpllc.net/newtemplate/index.php?cid=rxaffiliateforum)

This is how you'd submit your URL to advertisers, with a unique cid for each campaign.

To update your site in place, just download the template.zip file
(there's a permanent link in the Shared Content section of the
affiliate backend) and extract the index.php file from the main directory and the hsnincludes.php file from the
includes directory and replace the ones on your site.

Tony, great template. One problem though. If I select Men's
Health from the category dropdown (index.php?prod=&cat=11)
I get a mostly blank page: only the price table headers.

Will you look into that?

Thanks!

We don't currently have any products in the men's health category. I'm
probably just going to remove the category until we have something to
put into it.

Is that a change you have to make or can you point me to the
file so I can make the edit?

Thanks!

It's on our side. I've got to talk to Aaron about it, but I think I'll do it today.
