For sale....

www.paylesspills.com (http://www.paylesspills.com)

Serious people only please. Have turned down a genuine offer of USD$27,500.00 last year.

Looking to move on. Site is setup for EVA so only requires small change for someone already using EVA.

Currently listed as a "Most Popular" site in Yahoo under:

http://dir.yahoo.com/Business_and_Economy/Shopping_and_Servi ces/Health/Pharmacies/Weight_Loss_Medications/ (http://dir.yahoo.com/Business_and_Economy/Shopping_and_Services/Health/Pharmacies/Weight_Loss_Medications/)

Clever webmaster with better skills than me could turn this site into a mega site with additional non prescription pills, vitamins etc.

PaylessPills.com - "Our name says it all"

http://www.whois.sc/paylesspills.com

Email genuine offers over abovementioned figure to:

peter@paylesspills.com

Thanks,Peter.

Admin, maybe it's time for a Domain for sale forum, eh?

I do not mind the offers myself as I am always looking for great domains but since this has become such a prominant type of posting, maybe it needs a forum all to it's own.

WDYT?

Hey Peter,

Don't want to burst your bubble ... but do you really think someone here is going to offer you more than 27 k?

I think not, domains and sites are a dime a dozen. Sure a domain like:

phentermine.com

prescriptions.com

medications.com

Are going to get top dollar but your domain is not that great. The marketing is NOT in the domain name it is in the whole online marketing approach. Meaning site design, selection of prescritions, inbound links, keyword density and on and on and on.

Good luck,

In this case, It's really about what kind of traffic the name is getting. I would never buy a domain unless I could see the stats for it.

With knowing the unique visitors a day, and applying average conversion rates it is possible to make some determination on what to expect as far as sales.

If someone is going to shell out big bucks for any site, they better know what they are buying...

I disagree (no surprise there, huh? LOL ) It is all about "How many sales does it generate:

Domains >$25K- how many sales per minute?

Domains <$25K - how many sales per hour?

Domains <$2K - how many sales per day?

Domains <$200 - how many sales per week?

Domains $5-$10 - readlily available at your local registrar (Except Network Solutions which is $35.00 plus a funny feeling in your ass)smileys/smiley8.gif

To me it's only a matter of how big the customer base already is and how many reorders I'm gonna get without advertising. I wish people would put that whenever they tried to sell a domain; I can just register a domain myself and do a big PPC campaign, what I am looking for in a purchased site is how long will this take to pay for itself and become profitable. Like Chef Brian said, if the domain is like medications.com or thereabouts, that's a different story, but I still need to know what to expect in terms of reorders. Sorry to sidetrack your thread, webwiz.

Due to the nature of the prescription "OP" business we are natrually geared toward drug/industry specific domain names for obvious reasons.

My domain name being more general is probably more suited to a person orcompany in the "pill" industry such as a pharmacy or franchised pharmacy chain, wholesaler of prescription and non prescription pills etc who want to have an online presence with a name that can be easily branded.

I thankyou all for your comments.

Peter.

Wow didn't realize one of my domains was listed in the most popular on Yahoo! Above Payless pills even. Glad I checked out your listing. :)

I think you'll be hard pressed to get the 27k now without some big time stats and a large customer base.

Funny that, I thought it would be the other way round not being a prescription drug specific domain name.

Phentermine.com, etc aren't looking that flash now are they!!!
