Dear Affiliates,

Due to recent legal complications, we wish to announce that RX-MEX.COM
will cease all activities starting today, January the 23rd 2006.
The website will be closed and we will not accept anymore orders.
Orders placed before the time of closure will be shipped out and customer
support will be working until every customer has been attended.
All pending commissions will be paid in full and pending orders will be
validated as well.

No further comments are available so please do not contact me with any
questions that are not related to payment issues.

I wish to thank you all for the great job you have done throughout the
years, it was a great pleasure to meet some of you in person and have so
many conversations with the rest of you. I appreciated working with each
and every single one of you.

Thank you all for the great work experience and pleasant memories, I wish
you and your families only the best that life has to offer.

Best regards,

Andre

That's sad to hear. What's going to happen with the clients and affiliates, will there be a new place to refer us to? I wonder what the legal complications were, specifically, whether is was credit card acceptance, shipping issues, or simply throwing in the towel due to the (il)legality of imported meds.

Good luck with the new business Andre.

Thank you for keeping faith with customers and affiliates be :
1) finalising all deliveries in the pipeline
2) paying all commissions due.

I noted icollect comments on another thread. However, how many other pharmacies close and pay out their affiliates while ensuring all customers receive outstanding orders?

I think the above speaks for itself and should not go unrecognised as the right way to go about your business.

Also - my understanding is that the alternative supplier option will soon be announced.

Andre and Team,

Its with great sadness that we see our respected competition closing its door. RX-Mex and Budget Medicines have been close rivals for many years, sharing the same vision. We've both fought to keep the industry as clean as possible setting the benchmark in terms of customer and affiliate service.

Good luck in your future endevors. We're sure you'll have great success.

For those affiliates looking for an alternative - a serious pharmacy with the same integrity, same customer focus and even better payout opportunities (great conversions), be sure you checkout Budget Medicines. As vouched for by clivew and the Pharmacy Shark Patrol (http://www.pharmacy-shark-patrol.com)

You'll find Budget Medicines at http://www.budgetmedicines.com.
Any questions can be posted directly to affiliates [at] budgetmedicines.com.

Okay, creepy. Just got an email with my signup information for XL Pharmacy - the only problem...I didn't sign up for XL Pharmacy. I especially didn't sign up using the email address that they used to send me my login info. Extra creepy - the password is one of my normal passwords, so someone took it upon themselves (hmmm, who could it be?) to sign me up.

So, what's going on here?

OH just fucking great, now they signed me up to Kolimbo too, now 2 accounts at XL 3 accounts at Kolimbo...

Might be a fucking smart move, but I am really pissed when companies just exchange my info, email address and alike without even asking me.

Affiliate programs are a mess usually, now they start creating double accounts, that will make things even better ....

Hi guys,

We asked affilaites to join with XL in our last newsletter. The transfer was supposed to be done smoother than this but the people at Kolimbo kind of skipped a step and had everyone join automatically.
Both XL and us have a good idea on what to do and what not to do with affiliates and we know this was not the best option.
Sorry for the trouble but it was not our intention.
XL will also join soon and back me up on this.

Can you explain why the signup information was not sent to the email address I had on file with Rx-Mex? It was sent to an email address that I never use with affiliate programs - a throwaway address, if you will. Also, I did NOT receive a signup email to the address I DID use with Rx-Mex, so there's something really weird about this.

Hi there,

Our minimum payout limit has always been 200$.
I can understand why you have never received your commission.
We lowered the minimum payout limit to 20$ in order to give EVERYONE the chance to receive compensation for their effort.
By offering store credit, something that many affialties have asked for, we are able to make many people happy.

Hey Jag,

We had a decision to take in order to make everyone happy.
RX-MEX always paid over 200$ like most OP's.
This time we lowered that to 150$ so that more affialites can receive their money.
But for the rest it is hard to write so many checks...
We are offering to ship them medicine, and believe me MANY affialites are happy with that.
Many affialites like the one above with 36$ wouldn't have received anything under normal circumstances... We are offering an alternative.

You POSTED that the minimum was dropped to $20 bucks. Read your earlier posts.

You also sent me an e-mail saying you were going to send me a check or bank transfer for $36.28 but later called it an automated response as if it wasn't meant to go out. It WAS meant to go out because the minimum WAS $150 and the automated response would not have gone out if the minimum hadn't been lowered to under 36 bucks. You lied.

Face it, you decided it would be nicer just to keep other peoples money. If some people want medications, FINE. I don't. If I wanted meds, I would buy them with my cash.

But for the rest it is hard to write so many checks...

You are saying it is easier to order, pick, pack, and ship medications than it is to write a check and mail it? You can hire a temp to spend all day processing checks for about 80 bucks. Another line of BS.

People spoke highly of you. Were you just putting up a front?

What a crock of smelly dung. I also get the letter saying aking how I want my funds and I say I don't care check or wire. Now he's saying he wants to keep our cash and give us store credit on something that we didn't ask for ( maybe the minority wanted store credit, but I doubt it). and of course at full retail price no less.

tick to your word and pay up, or have your friend, cousin or whoever it is from the new pharmacy pay. I see you had no trouble sending the new pharm all of our details, so it shouldn't be too hard to send them our money so they can pay us.

It's HARD to write so many checks?!? Cry me a river!! It's super easy for you to KEEP so much money. How many checks are there? 100 ($3,600)? 1000 ($36,000)? 10,000? Poor you! The affiliates sent you the business. You should pay them. By the way... Your minimum was RAISED to $200 last fall, while you were taking forever to ship the lunesta sales, remember? This is pretty darned disappointing. Have a great life, dude. Karma's a bad thing. :(

Gumby
February 20th, 2006, 10:48 PM
Who care what your minimum was , the fact of the matter is that you went out of business (or whatever) and therefore smaller affiliates don't have the opportunity to make it to $200. The store credit thing is just bullshit. If any of us wanted the drugs, we know where to buy them.

This whole situation with the new pharmacy just stinks of something fishy. Anyway, just sit your butt down and write the checks. You got paid with real live money, we expect the same.

Hi,

We are in discussions to see if XLPharmacy.com will credit your accounts with the pending commission. This will allow you to work with them and still have the same balance.

My problem is not with the active affialties... It is mainly with the real small ones that generated 1 sale in 4 years and now want a 22$ check...The real issue is that in many cases that sale was their own order... So we are filtering now.

Like I said, efforts are being amde to make everyone happy.

I think the reason some of us reacted the way we did was because you said different things. As for me, I was miffed at the notion that it is "Hard" to write a bunch of checks. That's just not a good excuse. Whether you realize it or not, most of us always felt you were one of the "good ones". We were a bit disappointed at that final e-mail because it put you in with the others. It wasn't exactly in character for you. Sorry for the outburst, but it needed to be said.

Jaguar said it well. Saying it is so hard to write a bunch of checks is a LAME excuse. And it is just that... an excuse.

Which is harder?

A: Writing a bunch of checks?

B: Sending e-mails back and forth so they can deal with this on a case by case basis. If they find you want a check (that is if they decide to send you YOUR money) then they will write the check. If they find that you want meds, then they will take your order, send the order out and have the order picked, packaged, and taken to the post office (if not picked up). If a prescription is required... well that is a whole different avenue.

Yeah, writing a bunch of checks is so hard. So is trading links all day, paying for PPC campaigns, building websites, trying to get some kind of ranking in any search engine, building websites, paying for PPC campaigns... did I mention building websites? submitting sites to directories... etc. etc. etc.

Andre,

We all want cash. If we want meds, we'll buy them with that cash. Like someone said previously, it's more work to do this on a case by case basis. I'm no different than anyone else who just wants to be paid.

Exactly... So you should stick to what concerns you , you have no idea of what people want... So e-mail me your info and detaild and I will deal with you like I deal with every other affialtie ... There is no revolution, so no leader needed.

The issue I have is the small affiliates , which we don't even know if they are affiliates that earned 20$ over a 4 year period...
In 80% of the cases, that single order was for them.

That is why I take it case by case and I check to see if there is or was an existing website... If any clicks were generated. I calculated these "under 50$ affiliates" to cost us tenths of thousands of $.
So yes I will take it case by case.

Concerning our decision to pay everyone that earned over 150$ by check and offer store credit to all the others is based on the minimum payout limit of the industry...

By lowering the limit to 150$ we incorporated hundreds of affiliates into the payroll.

The e-mail received was an automatic reply that was sent after we lowered to 20$ payout in order to close the program and see the global image.

We have always treated affiliates with great respect, the personalized approach to this final payment proves our desire to conclude all business links positively.

I will continue to deal with this case by case until all affiliates have been satisfied.

In conclusion, I would like to add that dozens of happy affiliates that have worked with us and enjoyed the program, show their support by understanding our decision

You have the records. You have my total amount of $136+. I have a website. That can all be checked on your end without my involvement or the involvement of any other affiliates for their earnings either. If you want, start with the $50+ people and then keep in touch with the less than $50. Maybe they'll want some cheap drugs at retail price...maybe not. I can't speak for them. I do feel that I can speak for all of the people who have posted here. Not a single person has said that they prefer drugs in exchange for payment.

As for those affiliates who will cost you tens of thousands of dollars...didn't they earn that money? You earned your part, so they should be paid their commission. When you go out of business, your minimum payment schedule doesn't really mean much. Moving people over to another pharmacy doesn't equal you continuing to do business.

I've sent a couple of emails, no reply. Probably 'cuz I'm one of those peons in the under $50 group. Not my order, have a website, most of your links disappeared when you stopped shipping lunesta. As far as industry-wide standards, kinda hard to use those when you're going out of business. I cost you nothing, Andre. You don't host my sites, do my PPC, or anything else. You, on the other hand, have cost me lost sales from the Lunesta debacle, and now apparently also the piddly little orders I did get that I had been willing to wait for it to build back up to your min so that I could get my second-ever check from you.

But go ahead and keep it Andre. Apparently, you must need it more than I do. But I've also believe in "paying it forward". I try to live my life my that principle. Someone may choose not to help you in some situation some day because you obviously don't pay it forward. And it isn't money I'm talking about.

Hello andre,
All i can say is just send some payments out and things will get resolved automatically.
once most of the active affiliates are paid you can take care of the inactive members with ease.
Writing checks is difficult, i agree, but you have to take the pain for thats what we all expect you to do.
I expect this from you for you have been a great affilate manger and you are still doing the right thing by paying the affiliates after discontinuing OP business.

Payments are going out next week which cover about 75% of all affiliates.
We have been shipping out store credit orders since last week to over 200 affiliates.
I guess that by next week only a few will be left unhappy, which is not bad.
Those who remain bitter, can always contact me and I am sure that we will reach an understanding.

I'm glad I didn't invest more time into Andres program. I may have gotten ripped off more money.

Quotes from Andre:

"The minimum payout limit is set at 20$ this way everyone that generated at
least 1 sale will get paid."

"All pending commissions will be paid in full...."

"well (we) still are reliable... will remove when everyone received their last payment... OK ?"

If you had invested time into Andre's program you would have made quite a bit of money and he would have responded to every e-mail, private message, OR phone call you gave him, no matter how many or few orders you sent him. In addition, the answers that he gave you would have been honest and accurate. Andre has bee an excellent affiliate manager. That's why this is surprising. To his credit, he doesn't have to keep posting here and he has. If you were a participant in his program what you cotribute to this thread would be of value. If not....

Andre, how can you go from this promise on Feb 6, 2006 to no payments yet as of March 5, 2006? Please communicate what is going on! Please don't take the Liars, Thieves and Cheats way out on your responsibility to pay everyone their (not your) money. Clive, Andre's approach to paying his bills is reducing the value of what he supposedly sold you. You should encourage him to pay up to prevent further tainting of your XLPharmacy's close relationship to the old RX-Mex.

First - Andre told me he would honour payments due - he has not let me down before.
Second - Of course I am encouraging him to keep to his arrangement - as I hope that XL P keeps to theirs in paying Andre.

Regardless of what happens Andre made a commitment to close and payout affiliates and that has nothing to do with XL P - so he should keep his agreement.

No genuine people that we can see seem to have missed out.
However, Archon I am sure Andre will check out your recent application.

Put me down as getting stiffed. I've been very patient and if I receive nothing by this weekend I'm gonna assume that Andre pocketed my money.

I have mentioned it many times in this thread and have sent him more than enough PM's and e-mails for him to respond to.

I think it's time to put this thread to bed. If Andre owes you money, contact him personally. RX-Mex is dead. To my knowledge, Andre is out of the OP business so you can't do much to hurt his reputation. Just move on to the next one and chalk it up to the cost of being in the OP business. Just my opinion.

Great idea! Please contract Andre via PM or andre@rx-mex.com.

Thank you.
