OK, here's a good message to the spammers here. Recently, a man was brought into the hospital in bad shape with cuts, bruses, abrasions, broken ribs, broken knee, a serious concusion and bleeding badly. The police showed up and took his statement (after he was conscious). He went on to state that 3 men had approached him just as he was putting groceries in his car at a local supermarket. One walked up to him while the other two came from the other side, he said he started to run but it was too late. Wham ! he remembers being cracked in the knee with a small baseball bat. he remembers hearing, "go ahead, send one more fuckin thing !, you dont care do you, you dont listen !". After that he said, "it was all a blur"..
It turns out the guy is an affiliate internet marketer. I know this first hand because I was visiting someone that was brought into the hospital from a car accident and this guy was in the emergency bed next to him.
The police took his statement and the guy tried to describe the men as much as possible but he said it was all too quick to get a good look. Given how much the world hates spam ( Except from those that make a living off it ), the police didnt seem to eager to solve this one. They took his info and then said someone will follow up. I overheard the guy say, "I had a funny feeling earlier in the week someone was following me". He then said what he did and the cops had him explain it. They both shook their heads in agreement like, yeah, they beat your ass for what you do. He probably sent to much spam to the wrong email. If this doesnt say volumes about remove an email from the unsuscribe list, I dont know what does.
Of course I couldnt resist throwing in my own comment to him. I said " you play, you pay". He looked at me with a blank white stare. As if I was going to walk up and smack him next. These guys just dont get it. Someone made sure the message got through the old fashioned way, force it into their thick head.
All I will say is, for those that are spamming, watch your back !!
