I have found twitter to be a easy and very quick marketing tool. I have used for other areas outside of RX. Recently I have set up @SaraPSP account to build Rx sales and sub affiliates. it is already a good source of relevent informationon ways to improve affiliate sales and new programs.

Because it is in small snippets of information I can easily filter out the not useful.
I useTweetdeck to mange multiple Twitter accounts easily.
I do not tweet often and sometimes filter out those that fill up my system with too much stuff.

It does not take much time out of my day and provides traffic and good fresh information.
And builds a network of people with similar interests.

I choose to select for quality information rather than volume of followers.

Every online marketer needs to consider the great marketing potential of a micro-blogging site like Twitter seriously now. Google for example is incorporating its content into their search results!

Google has launched a tool called Google 'Social Search' in order to capture comments made on Twitter and other social networks. Tweets are now indexed by Google and as part of 'Social Search', when one of your Twitter followers turns up in a search from Google, then the search results will favour your tweeted content over regular search result listings!

Well a few quick tips I can give you is connect Twitter to Facebook. So when you Tweet all your Facebook associates can observe your tweet. Many other networks also support the Twitter API like Plaxo.

sometime I feel that everybody is trying to sell in Twitter ...
more people do spam there just because it's free and easy ,you can bay a cheep robot that will spam for you...
does any one know a real leader that will kip the ratio of 1 pitch for every 6 good contents ?

I think since readers are so used to junk links, links have become more of an SEO tool, that serves the google bots more then it does the surfers... I am completely pleased with 1:10 as well... By the way, i think "leaders" now invest less in their messages and links, so you make more in an hour, so if you once went for 1:6 withing an hour, and you can now publish 10 links an hour and achieve a ration of 1:10 - except from filling the net with garbage, you are pretty much in the same state, no?

I agree that twitter account could be stream of active traffic, however the big problem now is to find good follower that have serious interest about topic that we talk on our tweet

You are very right, this is exactly the ratio we are discussing - traffic is good, but focused traffic of potential buyers is much better. I remember times in which SEO people thought advertising a website using popular words that have nothing to do with the website's content is a good idea (for example, SEOing an online pharmacy website using key phrases such as "cars", "movies", or other unrelated phrases...)

Welcome on board, Rumina ;)

Twitter is a very good marketing tool. You can even get your website indexed in google through twitter. It is a very good social-networking website too. I recommend it.

You're absolutely right. More followers in Tweeter doesn't automatically mean that you'll succeed in the long run. Why? Because not all of your followers will end up as your buyers. They might join your network just for the sake of being a follower. So basically, your sole purpose isn't there.

Which social network would be the best for marketing in general though? Facebook or twitter? I've got two pharmacies I've been thinking about promoting on a social network, but not sure which one would be worth it.

There was this interview between SEOMOZ and SEOBOOK owners (forgot the name though). They said Facebook and Twitter traffic is good for brand recognition. However, these traffic don't tend to convert much into sales. I don't know, anyone has experience making substantial sales from Facebook or Twitter?

I noticed twitter can be good as a traffic tool, but even then, it requires many hours of dedication. I kinda gave twitter up.
Facebook, on the other hand, allows you to reach new audiences and keep in touch with them. You actually CAN make $$$ with a facebook application / fan page / group which is well administered...

Good luck :-)
