Well I am new to this whole affiliate programs and affiliate programs SEO, but i have to say so far it seems very profitable... So, I have made some terrible SEO mistakes and I am learning from experience. I have some questions -
Is there a maximum % of keywords you DON'T want to exceed?
Is there a punishment, or will Google bann me if i use TOO MANY keywords?
are there SEO keywords i should use more carefully then others? i mean, does Google tend to bann over use of keywords at specific keywords (like Viagra, for instance) more then others?
Thanks...

Hi Carol, thanks for your interesting (and very much in place...) questions :-)
you asked:
Is there a maximum % of keywords you DON'T want to exceed?
Is there a punishment, or will Google bann me if i use TOO MANY keywords?
are there SEO keywords i should use more carefully then others? i mean, does Google tend to bann over use of keywords at specific keywords (like Viagra, for instance) more then others?
So, here are some answers:
Experts recommend not to exceed 5-6% density for keywords in a certain page, but there is also an important issue of keyword distribution which i advide you look into.
Google WILL punish you if you use appearances of keywords in the background's color (transparent keywords), or use black hat SEO in order to increase a page's relevance in other methods then to simply write interesting content. But I don't think you will get punished for using too many keywords as part of the content...
Wherever you SEO a field in which there is a lot of black SEO going on, i would be careful. In general, it will be a good thumb rule to take it slowly and increase credablity over time. Don't expect a bang of SEO progress. Allow time to take its course.
And as usual, i would advise consentrating on a focused website, using keywords at good density and distrinution, and worry about good interesting content.
Also, work on incoming links, this effects your PR and could make a world of difference...
Good luck! :-)

just trying to answer
Is there a punishment, or will Google bann me if i use TOO MANY keywords? I dont think they will punish you, they dont have too, keywords stuffing is easly detected as poor site, they will list your site at very last page of Google search result, that will assure no body will find your site

the answer no, what is the bad from words "viagra"sex or poker, it only words, and Google still indexing site like that, it depends on what site effort to increase their ranking

Just don't be too obvious. No body knows exactly what Google's algorithms involve or if there is a specific keyword density that you should strive not to exceed, but its always a good idea to try to keep your site looking natural. Use moderation when doing SEO and putting together content.

Just be sure to put your main keyword in the title and several times on the page, as well as some related keywords - that's all. Having the same keyword appear 50 times on a page is just useless.

Don't focus so much on keyword density or on-page SEO... it's doesn't have a huge impact. As qwer12 mentioned, have your keywords mentioned in the TITLE, H1 and randomly in the content. That's it!
Your main focus should be building incoming links. This is the most important factor, and probably 90% of what Google takes into account. Lots of ways to do this. Search around online for "build incoming links" and you'll find suggestions like: link exchanges, article exchanges, article submission, blog posting, forum comments, etc.
GOOD LUCK! This can take a very long time...

A few other IMPORTANT points.
Google does NOT like duplicate content. Try running a rx site and not having dup content. I had one site that got up to a page rank of 3 for a few years...now none , not one link in Google.
They love sites that have been around ( mine was running 8 years!) plenty of quality links incoming and not so quailty ones.
4-5% keyword %, right amount of Hi , h2, h3 etc.
Try and make exchanges for internal pages rather than your home page
Google does not like Affiliate sites,. Google might be king but also try and go for the other se, I have very good rankings in Yahoo for my best keywords and although it does not give the traffic of google ......
BUT even with all the above at the end of the day
Google does NOT LIKE RX sales sites.
Good luck

Google won't penalize you from using words like Viagra or anything like that. The problem would be getting backlinks. Most sources of backlinks have filtered out certain restricted words like Viagra, online pharmacy, etc.

As per my knowledge, affiliate marketing is a great moneymaker online. Affiliate marketing is the most cost-effective way to increase your sales because it is based on performance. As your site has increased traffic, your brand also is recognized in Affiliate Marketing.

Keyword density??? Are you living in 2001? What sort of advice is keyword density
BTW you should know that linking to the same URL with different anchor text from the same site is pretty useless. If you are using your signature to build links you should link to the index with one anchor and use the other link for deep linking.
