You know, people who do SEO are mainly guessing Google's preferences... No one knows for sure... I am asking myself this question for a pretty long time, and I'm interested to see what you have to say about it -
Description, is a meta tag used mainly for Google's description of the web aaffiliate website's url when displayed on the search results page.
It is said that the optimal length for the description is about 250 characters, or around 20 words.
BUT
We also definitely know that key phrases appearing on the description are thought to be more relevant to the web page by Google, thus jump upwards in Google's search results
= So =
What happens if I make the description twice as long as it should be and bombard it with key phrases? Only the first 250 characters will appear, but the rest will be indexed as description text, right?
I have been playing with this idea for the past six months, and so far it worked 100% for me...
What do you think about it?
