Hi guys,
i don't know how many here know me, maybe Steven is the only one but i experience some problems lately with my sites I stopped working on them due to the face I'm exploring new fields, my traffic crashed by google and yahoo acts.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do, I thought about moving to other fields, I started exploring the wine and chocolate but I can't see any good money coming out of it.
I have few problems to get back to the top pages in google, can someone please share what he have done to regain his position? Until I will find a good field to get into I need to keep those $$$ coming from the RX.

Thanks in advance

I'm doing lots of article marketing, directory submissions, some blog comments, and linking from my other sites. All old school stuff, but seems to work still. It's kindof a hit and miss though, some sites rank well, others drop in serps.

With the "Farm Update" it seems that most article directories lost it's value and with them the backlinks...

Commenting still works but you have to be careful and not get caught as a spammer...

Directory submission is a waste of time on it's own together with other techniques might help a little..

Linking from your other sites if done properly (Mix the anchor text, etc..) is the best weapon you can have right now!

Actually the trick is not to try to pinpoint the most effective method that works today, because it might not be that useful tomorrow. But rather try to build a well diversified linking profile for your site over a period of time. To make it look more natural to Google.

Almost all links are good if done in moderation and not all at once. Some will be better, others less useful, you can't have one without the other. Meaning if you only have links from your sites and have an interlinked network of sites with little outside links coming in sooner or later google will catch up with you and ban all the sites... I had that happen a few times. So if you want long term results in SEO mix it up and don't listen to the "experts". You are right though, nice in content and on topic links from your own sites are great.

don't listen to the "experts".

Completely agree on those 2 points... every site, keyword and industry are different, so just try to do the best you can and hope for the best!

Yeah, to me something similar occurred to me. I started with a rank of 16mil, went down to 12mil then to 9mil then to 6mil I was down to 4mil until one day I was back to 12mil. How or why it happened no idea, but I am back down to 9mil, and trying to work my way down. For me all I did was post and promote my site in different places. Then just wrote a massive amount of articles. The articles helped me a ton though. I mean just with articles I went from 16mil to 4mil until I was bumped back up.

Your page ranking depend on your backlinks quality and visitor staying time.
