Very profitable niche!

For many years, I was a successful RX affiliate and an active member of this forum. As many older members are aware, the online RX business took a huge downturn several years ago, and for the most part, the BIG PROFITS are gone (especially for affiliates). New rules, restrictions, regulations, etc. have made it virtually impossible to market RX drugs on the web. Search engines have taken a stand against pharmacy sites, and it's extremely difficult to drive traffic and leads.

Like many members, I was looking for an alternative to supplement my lost RX income. I've experimented with many programs and product niches. And although it's hard to match the "BIG PROFITS" of the old RX affiliate days, the "financial" niche has always been a consistant, stable option. Banking, stocks and loans are not going anywhere! In particular, "payday loans" are a high traffic, big profit business.

I've been getting stable results (and regular payments) from this program for over a year. They have a competitive payout structure, lots of website integration tools and various lead driving opportunities.

If you already drive financial traffic or leads, it might be worth checking this program out. If you're new to affiliate marketing, it will take time, but this may be a good long-term alternative...

I've been in payday loans for over 10 years and it's one of the more competitive areas, but it can do very well if you get leads that are good. Most people applying for payday loans are broke and jobless, so you really need to filter your ppc traffic, but if you're ranking via SEO, the more leads the merrier. I use a few different services where your generated lead goes to buyers and they bid on the lead, and the highest bidder wins. Of course there's a lot of leads where no one bids a single penny.

I agree, payday loans is a very competitive niche. But usually the most competitive niches have the highest earning potential. You're right about PPC as well, you have to be very careful about traffic quality -- especially if you're paying for it. That's why I focus mostly on SEO. Just like any niche, there are things that work -- and things that don't ;)
