P.S. I tried to contact you via Phone at UShealthplan but only machine, I hope all is well.
Brian, I recieved a 1099 from MWS and it included income from the last check that I DIDNT recieve. I was going to pick it up just before the raid.I sent you an Email but no response. As much as I would like to personally stop by and say hello, I dont have the time but, will make time if I have too. Please let me know where we stand on this.
P.S. I tried to contact you via Phone at UShealthplan but only machine, I hope all is well.
My 1099 also includes commissions I never received...
Hey guys, I cannot answer for these folks, but I can tell you what my experience has been with income reported on a 1099.
IRS seesthe money reported on a 1099 as money you earned, regardless if you actually collected it or not.
Report the money as income. Then inyour itemized business expenses write off the un-collected money asbusiness loss/ un-collected funds(which it is). This is how I have done it for years. There may be other ways to document it as well.
Not to stir up a problem, but I would have submitted a bill to these folks after 30-90 days to document this, just to CYA. They would understand, they pay taxes too (I assume).
I had this happen years ago. I now document everything. Tax man ain't no joke.
For what it's worth, I agree with scoop!

Thanks for the info guys. I have not heard back from Brian, even after this post and Email to him as well. I trust that he is just 'incomunicato' temporarily, but none the less, the advice sounds like the best path to follow....
I hope to still hear from Brian regardless...
Thanks again guys...
Hey all, sorry for the delay. If I take a week or teo, please do not loose faith. I have a few things going on. I will look into this for you.
In answer to the emails I recieved, I have sent these to the CPA in charge and am still waiting for a response. Im all over this.
