Finally, had a site go from PR0 to PR4

hmm interesting, I can see a new google trend:

if your site comes upf for the domain name with www, and without, on of the sites pagerank shows grey bar (banned/unlisted)

i see that on several of my sites, usually one url is pumped up with pagerank, the other is doomed to grey bar .....

well i guess you do not share the PR anymore, because one url is automatically doomed ...

on pr0 sites i do not see thet though ...

grey bar means penalized?

by the way, u can have 2 pr for the www version and without the www version.

just do a 301 redirect from it to another with .htaccess will transfer all the pr.
