I've been doing a lot of reading lately and it's amazing how many reductions in medical programs to aid the sick, dying, children, and seniors have been put in place(see The Post On TennCare and it's rational). Men of great power and wealth compare the new drug benefit, to the program they receive as Senators. The differences inprograms arenot even worth the time to type them.


Millions of people are being denied proper medical care now because of the cuts in medicaid and the new drug benefit. For each dollarreceived in the new drug benefit, a 50 cent reduction is taken from food stamps and housing assistance.On a $800 - 1000 average disability or retirement check, this surpasses cruel and unusual punishment and places the weakest amoung us in the position of choosing food, housingor mediction. The%^## in Tenn. that is saving his state millions is a prime example of the direction of government in this country.


Denying medical care or medication to the sick has occurred before in history in another nation, but it was done mercifully and quickly. there was no prolong suffering, a decision was made, and the sick and deffective were eliminated. The approach deployed in this country is going to cause suffering, pain and death, but the process will be sure to prolong the suffering without offering medication and treatmentthat would offer relief, no matter how temporary.


There is no difference in denying medical care to patients and putting a gun to their heads, except the gun is more merciful.


On to the point of this post. Hitler having mde the decision that the sick and dying were an unnecessary drain on the resources of society issued the following order.


The author of this document is attempting to prove that Hitler was a leftist(Card Carrying Liberal). There is no title for such a person but evil. God will judge us all, but I believe he has a special place in hell for those that twist the truth, to commit crimes aganist humanity.

Folks if you live long enough, you will see death up close, the very sick, or the helpless sufferingthat chronic illness brings suffering not just on the person, but his entire family and network of friends.


I have never chosen my friends by the amount of money or their assets, but by their nature. Some of the finest people I know never had two pennies to rub together. These are the folks that have been affected.


It sounds great whena politician can say that he has saved tax payers money. It wins himelections and increases contributions to his campaign. At somepoint folks, you have to ask yourselves, couldn't that money have been saved by not just awarding a contract to Halliburton. Or maybe not passing a drug bill that actually cost seniors more money(Within 3 months of passage, the 20% discount offered during the initial phase, had been offset by increases in the cost of drugs). Thislaw actually prevents the government from using collective bargaining to get the best price for seniors. If you Guys would like I can post a list of the pork barrel projects in Tenn. and at the federal level. They far exceed any cost savings by denying the poor medical care.


I'm all for reducing taxes, but giving a 160 billion dollar tax cut, and reducing Medicaid by 10 billion, somehow just doesn't seem fair. Medicaid mostly benefitsfamilies that are below the poverty line, the working poor, and those that are severely disabled.


The next cuts will be in social security and Medicare. All of you state side have paid 6% of your salaries for your entire working life, with matching funds from your employer. There is currently a huge surplus being paid in every year. This surplus is being stolen and diverted into the general budget. Social Security is a trust. The problem the government has, isthat soon it will no longer be profitable to operate the system. Instead of paying you back the money they have taken, they want you to have your own investment account. Not 1 in 10 people can play against the thieves on Wall street and win. Your odds are better inVegas. Check out the performance of most mutual funds over the past 5 years, and these guys are professionals. Now you also get to play against the Hedge funds, an exclusive club, you must have at least 1,000,000 dollars to invest, to become part of the club. Theycan move whatever stock or commodity in what ever direction they want, regardless of thefundamentals. it sounds good when you say individual account, but what it means is, we're going to keep the money we've already taken fromyou, and never pay it back, and we're going to throw you inagainst the big boys, so they can properly fleece your ass.
