    Default Got my Legal Packet

Not sure how many of you responded to Brian's response back in June in order to recoup monies owed when MWS was frozen.

I just recently recieved in the mail a huge legal notice of the attorneys' right to claim fees and a complete fee breakdown schedule.

Looks like its moving forward, slow, but moving forward. Brian if you can shed any light on this, it would be appreciated.

    Anyone else recieve it ?

    Default are you sure

I for one would never send in those papers.

How do you know who will end up with that info?> Do you really want the DEa, INS and whomever having information that you knowingly particapted in shipping controlled susbtances across state lines?

Ur chances of recouping lost commissions are nill.

Over the years I have lost so many suppliers and just chalk it up as a business expense.

I never got this note your refering to but did get a note from Brian concerning a newsletter last month and to sign up. I did, never received confirmation and never a response to notes I sent back to him.

    Default Explaining it

First, you are working as a third party contractor (aka. affiliate marketing ). At the time, MWS was working with Licensed Physicians and pharmacies. They also were abiding by not shipping to states that were even slightly questionable. They followed the rules.

Second, it will be two years this May that they ceased operation. Uncle Sam had raided the MWS office and froze everything so, if you were an affiliate, they knew who you were.

Lastly, If I recall, at the time, there was nothing in actual law in effect that was in relation to controlled medications. Unless I missed something, MWS and its senior partners were never indicted, no charges filed, or any criminal action that I am aware of. They very well could have violated something inside MWS or its other partnerships, but what we did as an affiliate marketer would have no bearing on that and also was not illegal, ( at the time ).

If the DEA was to act, I believe they would have done so long ago, and then MOST on this forum would not be in this business as that would have defined it criminaly to affiliate market in this trade. From that day on, I stopped with all affiliate marketing of any controlled medications.

The legal packet had some pretty heavy attorneys in it who appear to be seeking compensation for representing MWS in some capacity.

There was nothing to send in. The legal packet is just an information packet. What Brian requested back in june was just to send an Email to his attorneys referrencing the website you had promoting MWS, the amount you owe, and any possible screenshots or reports you may have to help substantiate that claim.

Believe me, I went to the MWS office the day after I heard the news, and saw the DEA truck. I am sure they were all over the MWS office and know everything, so if you think putting in to try and recover money puts you at risk, you are kidding yourself.

    HeadCracker,

I got the package you're refering to as well....

Several months ago, I sent a detailed claim with PAYMENT REPORTS and other documents relating to the commissions they owed us. But we haven't recieved anything relating directly to this claim. Unfortunately, it looks like the package we recieved only covers LEGAL COSTS for the lawyers involved with the case.

What about us??? I didn't see anything relating to what they owe affilates! Hopefully, we're coming next after the dust settles...

    Brian???
